Cynthia Doxey Green was an associate professor of Church History and Doctrine at Brigham Young University where she taught Family History classes in the Church History and Doctrine department. Her research emphasis was on British emigration, English genealogy, and British Church history.

She lived most of her childhood and young adulthood in Salt Lake City. She holds a PhD in Family Sciences from BYU and earned her BA and MS in Child and Family Development from the University of Utah. She also earned a M.Phil. in Education from Cambridge University.

After she married Richard A. Green and moved to the southern United States, she continued Family History work. She has presented at the BYU Genealogy and Family History Conference and has presented at the Federation of Genealogical Societies.

She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She is the coauthor of The Field Is White: Harvest in the Three Counties of England.
