D. Rex Gerratt is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a General Authority and served in the Second Quorum of the Seventy from October 2002 until October 2007. He also served as an Area Authority and was first counselor in an area presidency. He and his wife, Marjorie, served a Church-service mission in the Church Educational System. He was also president of the Philippines Manila Mission, a stake president, stake clerk, bishop, counselor in a bishopric, and ward clerk. He was president of the Twin Falls Idaho Temple from 2008 to 2010.
Gerratt and his wife are the parents of nine children. He was born on April 9, 1936, in Rupert, Idaho. He attended Utah State University and was a dairy farmer.
