Peter B. Robinson is an entrepreneur and educator. He earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology in 1982 and his PhD in organizational psychology in 1987, both from Brigham Young University.
He served as director of research for the Center for Entrepreneurship and an assistant professor at Wichita State University from 1987 to 1990. He was then an associate professor and department chair at the University of Calgary from 1990 to 2003. In 1994 and 1996, he was a visiting professor of entrepreneurship at the State Academy of Management in Moscow. In 1995, he was awarded a Fulbright Foreign Scholarship.
In 2003, he joined the faculty at Utah Valley University where he is the Morris Professor of Entrepreneurship. In 2005, he was named Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice Reviewer of the Year. He became a Sam Walton Fellow in 2003
Robinson is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as a missionary to Uruguay from 1975 to 1977. He and his wife, Cristine, live in Mapleton, Utah.
