Brian C. Hailes is an artist and author. He wrote and illustrated graphic novels Blink, the Devil’s Triangle series, and Dragon’s Gait. He illustrated a number of the American Girl novels, including McKenna, Ready to Fly! (2011), McKenna, Girl of the Year (2012), and Grace & Sylvie: A Recipe for Family (2015). He is also the author and illustrator of Skeleton Play.

He is the owner and designer of HailesDesign and HailesArt. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in illustration from Utah State University.

He is the recipient of the L. Ron Hubbard Illustrators of the Future Award (2002). He was a guest artist at FanX Salt Lake.

Hailes is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
