Wanda Luce is an author of historical romances set in the Regency period. During a difficult period of time in her life, she reread every Jane Austen novel and as many Austen spin-offs as she could get her hands on. When she discovered that not all Regency novels had clean content, she lamented the fact to her husband and he told her to write one. So she did, plunging into creating the world of her first novel, entitled Lydia (2011). Her second, In the Wilds of Devon, was published in 2015. She joins the growing list of LDS Regency writers, which includes G. G. Vandagriff, Sarah M. Eden, Carla Kelly, and Julianne Donaldson.
Luce was born in Burlingame, California, lived in San Mateo until the age of four, when her family moved to Carson City, Nevada, and then later Reno. After serving as a full-time missionary in Germany for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she completed her bachelor’s degree in German literature from Brigham Young University.
Luce is the parent of two sons with her husband, Darrell. They live in Bountiful, Utah, where, besides writing, she teaches high school German.
