Tara Bench is a chef, cookbook author, food blogger, food stylist, and former magazine food editor. In the professional food world, she is also known as Tara Teaspoon, the name of her business.

She pursued a degree in culinary arts at Utah State University, after studying at Brigham Young University. She then jumped into the food publishing industry with an internship to work in the Martha Stewart Test Kitchen. There she blossomed to become senior food editor at Martha Stewart Living, Martha Stewart Kids, and Martha Stewart Weddings for six years. She freelanced for a few years and then was the Food and Entertaining Director of Ladies’ Home Journal magazine for a number of years until the magazine stopped publishing monthly issues.

Tara has appeared on The Today Show, the Martha Stewart Living show, and Food Network.

She has published two cookbooks, Live Life Deliciously, Leisurely Weekends, and Delicious Gatherings. She has also been a Food Network contestant and show judge.
