Lisa Downs Bearnson is the founder and editor of Creating Keepsakes scrapbook magazine and was an HSN and QVC contributor (under the banner of Creating Keepsakes). She appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show, Home Matters, Weekend Today, and American Baby Show. She and her husband and two family friends partnered in the quickly expanding world of scrapbooking. Despite feedback they received at a trade show that their magazine would fail, they went ahead with a shoestring budget

Five years after the inception of Creating Keepsakes, she sold the business but stayed with the company in an editorial advisory role until 2009. She published thirteen scrapbooking books during that time. She produced the "Lisa Bearnson Memory Keeping Collection" product line. In August 2015, she announced a new product line, “Anthology by Lisa Bearnson,” with multilevel marketing company Youngevity.

Lisa graduated from Brigham Young University in 1988. She was editor in chief at WordPerfect Magazine before she launched Creating Keepsakes. She and her husband, Steve, are the parents of five children.
