Bjorn Thorkelson Mormon Artist

Gregg Bjorn Thorkelson is a fine art painter. His work shows at Wilcox Gallery in Jackson, Wyoming, and Gasov & Gurule in Scottsdale, Arizona. For twelve years he worked full-time as an illustrator and moved into painting to fulfill a lifelong dream.

Thorkelson was raised in Southern California and he cannot recall ever wanting to do anything other than draw. He graduated from Art Center College of Design and illustrated to provide a living for his wife, Connie, and their four sons. He taught art at Brigham Young University-Idaho and teaches at Utah Valley University.

He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints.
