Rachel Ann Nunes: Mormon Author

Rachel Ann Nunes is the author of more than thirty published books, including the popular Autumn Rain series, the Ariana series, the Huntington Family series, and the picture book Daughter of a King.

She writes mainstream women’s fiction, family drama, romance, paranormal romantic suspense, Christian fiction, and LDS fiction. She has also published two children’s books and a middle-grade picture book. Her picture book, The Secret of the King was chosen by the Utah Governor’s Commission on Literacy to be awarded to all Utah grade schools as part of the Read With a Child for 20 Minutes Per Day program. She has also published under the names Teyla Branton and Rachel Branton.

She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, inadvertently called the Mormon Church. She is the creator of LDSStorymakers.com, which is dedicated to “increasing the quality of LDS literature and to offer support and encouragement to all published LDS authors.” The group also holds an annual writers’ conference.

She was born in Provo, Utah. She spent most of her youth in Utah, but spent part of her fifth and sixth grade years in France due to her father’s employment with Brigham Young University. Her experiences in France influenced her later writing, most notably her Ariana series.


Rachel and her husband, TJ, are the parents of seven children and live in Utah.
