Scott Schultz: Mormon Producer

Scott Schultz is a television producer, musician, and art director, best known for his co-creation of the preschool television show Yo Gabba Gabba! with longtime friend and business partner Christian Jacobs. The Nick Jr. series has garnered several Daytime Emmy nominations and is internationally popular.

In 2005, Schultz and Jacobs, along with Justin Lyon, founded The Magic Store, a family entertainment production company. Before the company sold the Yo Gabba Gabba! pilot, Schultz worked as a graphic designer for Quiksilver Inc.

Schultz composed music and performed in several indie pop bands, including Moon Men, a duo he formed with Jacobs, and Majestic. He also directed and produced music videos and skating videos. He was the co-creator, writer, and executive producer of The Aquabats! Super Show! He has been the art director for many of The Aquabats videos under the pseudonym “The SeaGhost.” He is also the co-founder of Supernal Industries, a company that sells stylized scripture bags.

Schultz lives in Orange County with his wife, Ruth, and their children. He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
