Eric Jensen is an actor, comedian, and theater owner. He is the co-founder and artistic director at the Off-Broadway Theatre in Salt Lake City. The theatre is home to the improv comedy troupe Laughing Stock. The improv group performs between play runs.
Jensen studied acting in college. After college he worked for a time at the Deseret Star Theater in Murray, Utah, where he wrote, directed, produced, and managed props. A few years later he bought wrote Robin Hood for an outdoor performance in Layton, Utah, which grew in popularity by word of mouth. The cast members found a building in downtown Salt Lake and the Off-Broadway Theatre was born in 1994.
Jensen is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
