M. Scott McLean is an actor, singer, songwriter, playwright, and author. He graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and the National Theatre Conservatory. He has appeared in regional theatre throughout the United States.

McLean wrote Fairy Tale Christmas with his father, Michael McLean (2014, illustrated by Jason Quinn). The McLeans developed an accompanying live theatre adaption that includes fifteen original songs.

Scott has also produced two jazz-folk albums, Four Letter Words and Stardust.

He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
