Robert Atkins: Mormon Artist
Robert Atkins is a comic artist, whose primary job is the penciler in the process of story creation, penciler, inker, colorist, and letterer. He is most well known for his work on IDW's Snake Eyes and the relaunch for GI JOE. He has also worked on Lara Croft and the Frozen Omen for Dark Horse; Amazing Spider-man, Venom, Heroes for Hire, Ultimate Fantastic Four and The Savage She Hulk for Marvel comics. He also worked on Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and numerous other comics. He read his first comic book in high school.
He is co-creating a comic series titled Elders of the RuneStone with writer Quinn Johnson.
He creates artwork for toy packaging for various companies and brands including NERF, Marvel Legends, and Star Wars for companies such as HASBRO, and Mattel.
He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Illinois State University and his Master of Fine Arts degree in sequential art from Savannah College of Art and Design.
He lives in Illinois with his family. He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
