'''Richard Hull''' is an illustrator and retired art professor. Hull earned his Bachelor of Fine Art degree in illustration from [[Brigham Young University]]. He is a member of [http://Mormon.org The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints].

He was an adjunct professor at Utah Valley University from September 2011 to August 2014 when he became a visiting lecturer. He was a professor in the Visual Arts Department at BYU from 1987 until he retired in 2011. Prior to his work at BYU, he was a graphic designer for the Ensign magazine and also illustrated for the magazine. He illustrated a handful of children’s books, including ''Laura Ingalls Wilder’s Fairy Poems''; ''Sad Underwear and Other Complications'' and ''The Alphabet from Z to A'', both by Judith Viorst; and ''My Sister’s Rusty Bike: A Novel'' by Jim Aylesworth. He has illustrated for such clients as Simon and Schuster, MacMillan, Harcourt Brace & Co., Doubleday, and Harper Collins.

During the fall of 2005, illustration student GayLynn Pettersen Ribeira approached him about completing her final project by traveling to Ghana. He supervised the trip in the 2006 with Ribeira and her classmates Jesse Bushnell and Emmalee R. Glauser. Paintings inspired by the trip were exhibited in the B. F. Larsen Gallery during fall 2007 and the artists discussed their work as part of BYU Women’s Conference in the spring of 2008.
