She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in illustration from [[Brigham Young University]] and since that time has illustrated many children’s books, games, and magazines. Titles include ''Rosie the Reindeer''; ''The Wind in the Willows''; ''Peter Pan''; ''Beauty and the Beast''; ''The Truth About Ogres''; ''The Mismatched Nativity''; ''When I Take the Sacrament, I Remember Jesus''; as well as the Wizards of the Wild card game.

Tenney is a member of [http://Mormon.org The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints]. She and her husband and children live in Utah.
