'''Julianne Donaldson''' is a historical romance novelist. She is the daughter of a U.S. Air Force fighter pilot who moved his family throughout the world. Moving frequently while growing up allowed her some romantic experiences, such as living next door to a 500-year old castle, learning to ski in the Italian Alps, and visiting East Berlin before the wall came down.

After she graduated from high school in Las Vegas, Nevada, she went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in English (with a minor in music) from [[Brigham Young University]]. After she and her husband had four children, she began to write. Her novels, ''Edenbrooke'' and ''Blackmoore'' were published in 2012 and 2013, respectively. ''Edenbrooke'' won the 2014 Dama Prize for the best historical romance. She gave birth to a fifth child and continues to write.
