'''Samuel Nielson''' is an illustrator and concept artist. He is an assistant teaching professor at [[Brigham Young University]] in the Department of Design. He also illustrates occasionally for publishers.

At a young age, Nielson started drawing for his brother when the two worked to create their own video games. At the age of sixteen, he began working for a video game company. After serving a mission, marrying, and starting his family, he earned a bachelor’s degree in animation from BYU. He later worked as a part-time teacher in the animation program. In 2014 he became an assistant teaching professor for the Visual Arts Department.

For many years, Nielson worked as a concept artist for Avalanche Software, Disney Interactive Studios, in Salt Lake City. 

Nielson and his wife have four children and live in Utah. He is a member of [http://comeuntochrist.org The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints].
