Anita Stansfield was born on July 20, 1961, in Provo, Utah. She currently lives in Alpine, Utah, with her husband and five children. Her first novel was published in 1994. Many of her works have been published through Covenant Communications in American Fork, Utah, but she now publishes through her own company, Crosswalk Books. Anita Stansfield is an award winning writer of fiction both for a general audience and Latter-day Saint audience. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, sometimes casually called the Mormon Church. Stansfield is probably the best selling author of LDS fiction, with half-a-million books in print as of 2010. She is extremely prolific.

She has also won the Independent LDS Booksellers' "Best Fiction Award" for her first published book, First Love and Forever. She has also won the League of Utah Writers' "Golden Quill" award multiple times, as well as Covenant Communications' 1997 special award for "Pioneering New Ground in LDS Fiction."
