Jennifer Clark Lane is an associate professor of religious education. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Lane received her bachelor’s degree in history and her master’s degree in Ancient Near Eastern studies, both from Brigham Young University. She earned her PhD in religion with an emphasis in the history of Christianity from Claremont Graduate University.
She is a professor of religion at Brigham Young University–Hawaii where she also serves as Associate Academic Vice President for Curriculum. She serves on the Executive Board of the Society for Mormon Philosophy and Theology. She is a contributing editor to Interpreter: A Journal of Mormon Scripture.
Her presentations and publications include work on adoptive redemption in the Old Testament, the writings of Paul, and the Book of Mormon; Franciscan piety in late medieval Jerusalem pilgrimage and interactions with eastern Christians; New Testament historical context; and Latter-day Saint theology and doctrine.
