Gentri, short for The Gentlemen Trio, consists of tenors Brad Robins, Casey Elliott, and Bradley Quinn Lever, each members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They describe their sound as “cinematic pop” that is “transfused with lush, epic orchestrations and rich, dynamic three-part harmonies.”[1] Each has a background performing in musical theater. They came together in June 2014 and are rapidly gaining a following.
Gentri’s first album debuted in March 2015 and hit number two on both the Classical and Classical Crossover Billboard charts. Their debut Christmas EP, Merry Christmas, is a mashup of “What Child Is This?" and "I Wonder As I Wander” that hit number one on Billboard’s Hot Single chart three times during the season.
At the end of 2015, they were featured with Lexi Walker in a TV Christmas concert, “Christmas Under the Stars,” which was filmed at the recreated old Jerusalem set that the Church built for the setting for its Bible videos.
