William Gill Mills was a lyricist and wrote the words to a few songs published by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, of which he was a member. His hymn, “Arise, O Glorious Zion” (#40), was included in the 1985 Hymns of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He was born on December 18, 1822, in Ireland. He died on May 25, 1895.
