Elaine Bradley, Neon Trees

Elaine Doty Bradley is the drummer with the American alternative rock band Neon Trees. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Bradley was born on October 19, 1984, in Logan, Utah. She is the youngest of the seven children born to Robert and Carolyn Doty.

For several years in her youth, she did not want to follow the teachings of the Church and for a time became involved in drugs. After a conversation about religion with one of her Christian friends, she yearned for a relationship with God and began researching the Bible and its teachings, and then returned to the teachings she had grown up with. She served a full-time mission to Frankfurt, Germany.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in public health, with a minor in German, from Brigham Young University. Neon Trees formed in 2005, and Bradley joined in 2006.

Bradley married Sebastian Bradley in January 2011. He is a dual German/American citizen. They have four children.

In 2014, Bradley was selected to appear in a Utah amusement park promotional campaign. Lagoon’s tagline is “Be Somebody’s Rockstar” and shows her and a kid having a fun time at the park, with Bradley progressively looking more rocker-like. The commercial features the song “Living in Another World” from Neon Trees’ album Pop Psychology.
