Angela Hallstrom is an award-winning fiction writer. She writes short stories, essays, and poems. She has published in Dialogue, the New Era, Irreantum, and the Salt Flats Annual. She published her first novel, Bound on Earth, in 2008, which won the 2008 Whitney Award for Best Novel by a New Writer.
After Hallstrom earned her bachelor’s degree, she taught high school English for five years before working to earn her MFA degree in creative writing from Hamline University. After graduation, she taught part-time at various colleges, including Salt Lake Community College and Brigham Young University.
Hallstrom was the editor of Irreantum, the literary magazine of the Association for Mormon Letters, and served on the editorial board of Segullah. She edited Dispensation: Latter-day Fiction.
