Larry E. Dahl is a professor emeritus of Church History and Doctrine at Brigham Young University. He is former chair of the department of Church History and Doctrine, and former associate dean of Religious Education. He previously worked in the Seminary and Institute program of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, of which he is a member.

He is the author of Follow the Living Prophets (with Brent L. Top, and Walter D. Bowen). He edited The Lectures on Faith in Historical Perspective (with Charles D. Tate Jr.. With Donald Q. Cannon, he edited Encyclopedia of Joseph Smith’s Teachings and The Teachings of Joseph Smith. He has also written numerous articles.
