Tenorio was the first General Authority of Mexican ancestry. He was born in Mexico City, Mexico, on March 6, 1935. He was baptized in 1969 and served as a bishop, branch president, bishop’s counselor, stake president, patriarch, Regional Representative, and president of the Mexico Torreon Mission. He was president of the Monterrey Mexico Temple from 2007 to 2010. He died on October 20, 2021, in Atizapán de Zaragoza, Mexico.
