Witney Capri Carson McAllister is a professional dancer, choreographer, and actress. Carson trained in ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap and ballroom dance, starting at age three. She was born on October 17, 1993, and after years of training in her home state of Utah, she moved into the public eye with an appearance on television’s So You Think You Can Dance. She finished second runner-up at age eighteen. She next became a troupe dancer on Dancing with the Stars for one season and was promoted to a professional partner for the next season. She and her partner Alfonso Ribeiro won season 19 (2014). She was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Choreography. She and her dancing partners placed in the top five for the next two seasons.
Carson is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She married her high school sweetheart, Carson McAllister, on January 1, 2016, in the Salt Lake Temple.
