In his closing remarks at the April 2022 General Conference, President Russell M. Nelson announced plans to construct a temple in Santos, Brazil. The Santos Brazil Temple is the 16th announced temple for Brazil.[1]

Santos is a southeastern port city in the state of São Paulo. There are nearly 1.5 million Latter-day Saints in Brazil in more than 2,100 congregations.[2]

Location

The Santos Brazil Temple is currently in the planning stages. No location has been announced by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
