Gordon T. Watts was serving as president of the Philippines Quezon City Mission at the time of his call as a General Authority of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as a member of the Second Quorum of the Seventy from April 1998 until October 2004. He also served twice as a bishop, twice as a stake president, and also served as a stake presidency counselor and Regional Representative.
