The Winchester Virginia Temple will be the second temple in the state. Winchester is in far northwest Virginia about 75 miles west of Washington, D.C. The Richmond Virginia Temple was dedicated on May 7, 2023, by President Dallin H. Oaks of the First Presidency. The Roanoke Virginia Temple was announced on October 1, 2023, by President Nelson. Virginia is home to more than 98,000 Latter-day Saints in over 210 congregations.[1]
