Emer is a character in the Book of Mormon's Book of Ether. Emer was a righteous ruler of the Jaredites. Emers rule began after a lengthy period of internal strife. His reign was peaceful and posperous as he reigned in righteousness. For years prior to his death, he conferred his kingdom upon his son Coriantum.[1]
He is also noted in the genealogy of Ether listed in the first chapter of the Book of Ether as being the father of Coriantum and the son of Omer.[2]
