+ | Hello, again, Rickety. It looks like someone is trying to talk to you on your user page, FYI. I have a new project and wonder whether you might be willing to help with it. I was looking at the categories list from the home page, and felt that a casual browser would be impressed that we are not Bible-believers, because the categories lean towards other subjects. I created a new category called "Bible Topics," and I've added articles old and new to that category. While I was involved with categories, I couldn't help but notice that the categorization is rather a mess. I've alphabetized some groups. Some titles had no punctuation to divide them from others. But, also, I think the whole system could be reworked, reordered, reorganized. Karen Merkley, the head editor, agrees. Can you look it over and make some suggestions? We can make some decisions and work on a revamp together, possibly. [[User:Gboyd|Gboyd]] 16:51, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

This presents a simple math problem to solve when someone tries to create a new account or add a link to an article. We could make it more strict (such as requiring someone to solve a math problem any time they make ANY edit, not just add links.) Let me know if this helps or doesn't help." + | The recent spam is generated by wikispam bots--software scripts that automatically log in and put external links to their web sites. People employ these scripts because they want free advertising, think it will increase their search engine rankings (which it doesn't anymore) and / or they just don't like our wiki. Since the spam insertion is automated, it takes us more time to click undo than it takes them to insert it. I think the ConfirmEdit plugin will definitely help us have more time for content creation rather than cleaning up this garbage. --[[User:Hakawati|Hakawati]] 12:58, 21 August 2008 (UTC)

Rickety, unban my account. Someone from my local network used my account and made the changes. Actions have been taken. Until then your stopping 16 other computers from accessing the wiki.
Really, email me, and I will get right on it. Rickety 00:45, 6 July 2007 (MDT)
What is your email address? I can't seem to find it.
Give me yours and I will send it to you. Rickety 00:51, 6 July 2007 (MDT)
Do you have another email? I don't like to use Gmail for people I don't know. Rickety 00:57, 6 July 2007 (MDT)
I'll get back with you in awhile. I have some files to delete. Rickety 01:11, 6 July 2007 (MDT)
Rickety, can you send me an email when you have a chance? I work for More Good Foundation and wanted to thank you for your help on the wiki. [email protected] Heather 17:02, 13 November 2007 (MST)
Rickety, thanks for your addition to the FARMS article. Gboyd 09:53, 22 February 2008 (MST)
Rickety, I'm glad to see you've started an article on the War in Heaven. Keep going with it. When you reference the scriptures, we'd like you to write out the reference rather than abbreviate it (ie-- Revelation 2:4, rather than Rev. 2:4). Thanks a lot. Gboyd 10:30, 22 February 2008 (MST)
Rickety, you can actually write out these scriptures (keep the links) when you expand this article. Good start. Gboyd 09:22, 26 February 2008 (MST)
Rickety--Thanks for the article updates made beginning of March, 2008.Gboyd 10:35, 4 March 2008 (MST)
Thank you for the warm welcome! Dumbcomputer 01:46, 20 March 2008 (MDT)
Kudos again, Rickety. Great photos, links, etc.Gboyd 16:24, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
Rickety--I love the images you've added to the articles. I think every article deserves an image (though I don't think we'll find a painting of Coriantumr). Can you find an illustration for the article I've just edited? It's "Book of Mormon Geography." Gboyd 19:48, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
I'm glad you like what I did. I can look for an illustration, that will be interesting. Bible images are easier because there are so many in the public domain. Rickety 23:28, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
Rickety-- I wonder whether you might have the time to help us with something. Dave Grow has created a two minute video for each temple. Karen (our editor) wants an external link for each temple article to its suitable video, (found at http://www.lds.net/forums/lds-gospel-discussion/11448-collection-temple-videos.html ), and she wants the following label: "A video about the Las Vegas Nevada Temple" (in other words, mentioning the temple by name). She also wants to embed the video between the article and the references/links sections. You probably know how to do that, already, but I can tell you how, if not. I've already linked all the U.S. and historical temples, and I'll go back to those, because I didn't mention the temples by name in the link. If you are able to help, you can start with the foreign temples. OK? Gboyd 00:03, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
As if the above weren't enough -- I'm looking for an image to embed in the article called, "Adam." :) Gboyd 19:27, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
I have added an image. Sorry it took so long, I was at church. Rickety 20:40, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
I will start on the foreign temples. Rickety 21:10, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
I have them completed, they are nice videos. Rickety 23:02, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
Thank you soooo much! Gboyd 03:27, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

On the Bible Topics, I started a discussion in Bible Topics discussion. Rickety 19:46, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
Rickety--re the recent spams, I received this email from Richard at the office: " I've enabled the ConfirmEdit plugin on the wiki. This presents a simple math problem to solve when someone tries to create a new account or add a link to an article. I think it is a good idea. I will try it out. The recent spam seems somewhat meaningless. It is removed almost immediately, without little effort, so who in their right mind would even do it? These kind of people are the ones that should be reading the gospel topics for they sure need some heavy duty help. Rickety 22:41, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
The recent spam is generated by wikispam bots--software scripts that automatically log in and put external links to their web sites. People employ these scripts because they want free advertising, think it will increase their search engine rankings (which it doesn't anymore) and / or they just don't like our wiki. Since the spam insertion is automated, it takes us more time to click undo than it takes them to insert it. That's correct. But I'm not sure all the spammers know about it. --Hakawati 14:32, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
