+ | OK, the Holy Ghost is a spirit man, certainly a personage of spirit. I think it would be accurate to say that Mormons generally believe this makes him a son of God. That is, we generally believe that this personage of spirit was created by God and is not some kind of exotic flavor of spirit distinct from the type of being we all are. However, I think I can see some point to questioning those assumptions. There's certainly something odd about the Holy Ghost in the way that he remains without a body for such a prolonged and seemingly endless period of time. Without any definitive statement regarding his creation and more detailed nature, it would seem an intriguing idea that he might not be the same kind of being as us somehow. It seems reasonable to me, personally, if you wanted to "tone down" the statement for the sake of more strict correctness. Maybe somebody else could be more helpful though. (I'm not really well versed on the intricacies of the nature of the Holy Ghost.) --Seanmcox 17:13, 24 September 2007 (MDT) | ||
