David LeRoy Beck was called as the general Young Men's President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in April 2009 and released in April 2015. Beck was born on April 12, 1953, in Salt Lake City, Utah. At the age of ten, he moved to Brazil for three years, as his father, Wayne Beck, was called to be a mission president. Later, Beck served in the Brazil North Central (later the Brazil São Paulo North) Mission.
