John K. Carmack is an emeritus General Authority of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was sustained a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy on April 7, 1984, and served there full-time until October 6, 2001, when he was designated with emeritus status. He oversaw the Church’s Perpetual Education Fund from 2001 to 2012. He also served as a full-time missionary in the Western Central States Mission, presided over the Idaho Boise Mission, and served as a stake president, counselor in a bishopric, and Regional Representative.
