Nagmeldin "Peter" Bol competed in the men’s 800-meter race at the 2016 Summer Olympics held in Rio. He placed sixth in his heat and was ranked 41st (of 57 runners) overall. He won the Australian national championship in 2019.

Bol placed fourth in the 2020 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo in 2021 with a time of 1:45.96, which set an Australian record for the 800 meters.

He also won the silver medal in the men's 800 meters during the athletics competition in Alexander Stadium at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England, Sunday, Aug. 7, 2022.
