Béla Petsco, a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is the author of Nothing Very Important, and Other Stories, a collection dealing with the world of Mormon missionaries in France, Southern California, and Arizona. His was the first view of missionary life from someone born and raised outside the Wasatch front.

He also writes poetry and wrote an opera libretto about Joseph Smith’s last days, called “And On to Carthage.”
