KayCee Stroh is an American actress, singer, and dancer who made her major film debut as Martha Cox, the smart girl who secretly loved to “pop and lock,” in the three High School Musical movies. She had danced in a direct-to-video film, Ammon and King Lamoni, for Liken the Scriptures. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Even as a child she knew she would be a “triple threat.” She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on May 29, 1984, to Cindy and Bruce Stroh. She has two older sisters who were dancers.
At the time of her casting in the Disney Channel Movies, she was a professional dance instructor at the Thompson Lane Entertainment Center. She took her students to the auditions. She appeared with her fellow High School Musical cast members at the Teen Choice Awards to accept an honorary award for the film’s instant success. She also appeared with the cast at the American Music Awards of 2007 to accept the award for Favorite Album. Stroh serves as co-host for the dance-along version of High School Musical 2.
She appeared in the recurring role of Leslie on the Disney Channel’s series The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. She had a cameo appearance in Hannah Montana: The Movie. She has been a guest editor for Tiger Beat magazine and appeared in a Lady Gaga music video.
In an interview with People magazine, she discusses her obesity. She was a spokesperson and plus-size model for the online retailer Torrid. She was also a contestant on season 7 of Celebrity Fit Club.
