Lowell M. Durham Jr. was a businessman and educator. He was director of the Obert C. and Grace A. Tanner Humanities Center at the University of Utah.
He held a doctorate degree in philosophy and English literature from the University of Washington. He also earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English from the University of Utah.
Durham was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and worked as an associate editor of the New Era magazine.
