Connor McMillan is an elite distance runner. He placed third in the men’s 10,000-meter race at the 2019 NCAA Outdoor Championships in Austin, Texas. He placed first in the men’s 8,000-meter race in the 2017 West Coast Conference Cross Country championships. He is one of many athletes mentored by Ed Eyestone and his team.
After graduating from Brigham Young University, he placed 10th at the 2019 New York City Marathon in 2:12:07, 12 minutes less than his personal best. He trained with Jared Ward and Clayton Young under the guidance of Eyestone. McMillan plans to participate in the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials in Atlanta in February 2020.
Connor is from American Fork, Utah. He is a Utah 5A state champion and record holder in the cross country championship.
He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
