Nora Porter Hogan was a composer whose hymn "I Thank Thee, Lord," appeared in the Sing with Me songs for children that preceded the current Children's Songbook. Her hymn "My Thanks Today" (words by Anna Johnson) was published in the Friend magazine. She published much of her work.

She was born on February 5, 1911, in Bountiful, Utah. She and her husband, Garth, were members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the South Dakota Rapid City Mission.

She passed away on March 11, 1997.
