Aroldo B. Cavalcante was called to serve as a General Authority Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was sustained on April 6, 2024, during the opening session of general conference.

Since joining the Church in 1991, his previous callings have included full-time missionary in the Brazil Recife South Mission, bishopric counselor, bishop, stake president, and Area Seventy.

Elder Cavalcante was born in Fortaleza, Ceará, Brazil, on November 22, 1970. He resides in Recife, Brazil, with his wife, Christiana. They are parents of four children.
