Bradley McBride began blogging as "Middle-aged Mormon Man" at the end of 2009. In September 2018, he changed his blog to “Thus We See” in response to President Russell M. Nelson’s request to discontinue the use of the name Mormon and instead the full name of the Church. McBride’s site was down for restructuring with the quip, “Excuse me while I’m having my Mormon removed!” In a post explaining the name change, he said “Thus We See” are the words of Mormon, the only person who can still be called Mormon.
