Plans to construct the Coeur d'Alene Idaho Temple was announced on October 6, 2024, by President Russell M. Nelson. The Coeur d'Alene Idaho Temple will be the tenth temple built in Idaho.

Coeur d’Alene is a northern Idaho city with 50,000 and about 30 miles east of the Spokane Washington Temple, a drive of about two hours. More than 476,000 members in nearly 1,230 congregations reside in Idaho, where early Church pioneers settled in the present-day state in 1855.[1] A few presidents of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are natives of Idaho, including presidents Harold B. Lee, Ezra Taft Benson, and Howard W. Hunter.

Location

The Coeur d'Alene Idaho Temple is currently in the planning stages. The location will be announced by the Church of Jesus Christ in the future.
