The Hill Ramah is a geographical location in the Book of Mormon. In the Book of Ether, the hill was the gathering place for the armies of Coriantumr, while his adversary Shiz gathered his troops at Ogath. After four years of gathering, the armies met and fought until Coriantumr remained the sole Jaredite standing. ([1] Ether 15:10–15])
Location of the Plates
The hill is also mentioned as the location where Mormon kept the sacred records of the Nephites.
- And it came to pass that the army of Coriantumr did pitch their tents by the hill Ramah; and it was that same hill where my father Mormon did ahide up the records unto the Lord, which were sacred. (Ether 15:11)
Ramah was also called Hill Cumorah by the Nephites (see Mormon 6:6 and Index to the Triple Combination.)
