Gospel Doctrine is the name of a Sunday School class which the majority of adult ward members typically attend. It teaches the doctrines of the gospel through the four major standard works of scripture. Each year the course of study covers one major book (Old Testament, New Testament, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants) in that order. A lesson manual is provided by the Church. The same lesson manual is used throughout the world, so that a person can travel from place to place and still follow the same course of study.
