[[Zoram]] was a servant of [[Laban]] who led [[Nephi]] who was disguised as [[Laban]], into [[Laban | Laban's]] treasury. [[Nephi]], speaking "in the voice of Laban"<ref>[http://scriptures.lds.org/en/1_ne/4/20#20 1 Nephi 4:20]</ref> commanded Zoram to take the brass plates containing "a record of the Jews"<ref>[http://scriptures.lds.org/en/1_ne/3/3#3]</ref> to his brethren. Zoram, "supposing that [he] spake of the brethren of the church"<ref>[http://scriptures.lds.org/en/1_ne/4/26#26 1 Nephi 4:26]</ref> took the plates and carried them to where Nephi's brothers were waiting.
