He is known for spending the entirety of his life in captivity on account of his grandfather, Hearthom, who was overthrown as king of the Jaredites. This captivity would continue for several more generations, as his son Amnigaddah also spent his life in captivity.He is noted in the genealogy listed in the Book of Ether as being the father of Amnigaddah and a descendant of Heth.
