Evelyn Neill Foote Marriott was sustained as the second counselor in the Young Women’s General Presidency at the April 2013 conference for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, often mistakenly called the Mormon Church.
She has most recently served as an ordinance worker in the Salt Lake City Utah Temple. She has served in a wide range of local and regional leadership positions, including that of the Stake (diocese) Relief Society president. She has also led ward (congregational) programs for teenage girls, taught children at church, and has served as a Sunday School instructor. She and her husband oversaw the Sao Paulo Interlagos Mission from 2002 to 2005.
Evelyn Marriot holds degrees in English literature and secondary education from Southern Methodist University. She and her husband, David Cannon Marriott, have eleven children.
