Sandra Bangerter Rast is an artist who primarily paints in oils focusing of landscapes, florals, and buildings. She prefers to paint goodness.
She was born in Salt Lake City in a family of eight children, and has lived in Bountiful, Utah, with her husband and children for most of her life. She studied art in junior high and high school. She majored in fine art at both Brigham Young University and the University of Utah. She studied art in several workshops.
Rast depicts many themes from the history of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, of which she is a member. She has painted the exterior of many LDS temples, especially the Salt Lake Temple.
