J. Devn Cornish is an emeritus General Authority Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was sustained a member of the Second Quorum of the Seventy on April 2, 2011. Cornish was released and granted emeritus status during the 191st Semiannual General Conference (October 2021).
Cornish was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, and earned both his bachelor’s degree in biology and his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University. He completed his pediatric residency at the Boston Children’s Hospital at Harvard University. He completed his neonatology fellowship program at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center. He is a retired doctor and professor. He was a professor and vice chair for faculty development at Emory University School of Medicine in the pediatric department.
